OLD MOON
Written and Directed by Tom Sweeney
Midway through the year, Wellington-based filmmaker Tom Sweeney reached out to us in regards to his latest project "Old Moon," which is a modern take on classic werewolf horror short film. Our collaboration commenced during pre-production, allowing us to consult extensively on leveraging visual effects to bring his werewolf concept to life. We joined forces with Tom's team early on, offering insights and guidance regarding the strategic use of visual effects within a smaller budget.
Our involvement extended beyond the initial phases; we also served as on-set visual effects supervisors during the filming. This hands-on approach allowed us to ensure seamless integration of visual effects, working closely with the production team to capture footage conducive to the intended effects.
The opportunity to contribute from the early stages of the project allowed us to provide valuable input and oversee the implementation of visual effects, enhancing the overall storytelling of "Old Moon."
